  • The Hauraki Rail Trail - Karangahake to Waihi or Paeroa.                                [Car parking and access - a few minutes from our location!]
  • Waikino/Waihi historic train rides
  • Trout fishing - Ohinemuri and Waitewheta rivers.
  • Boolswool Farmpark - farm animals as well as emu, deer, alpacas and more!

    Highland Games and Tattoo - February

    Paeroa Domain Ceud Mile Failte.
    The domain is transformed into the Scottish Highlands. Daytime traditional competitions, genealogy, food and a spectacular evening tattoo (which rivals Edinburgh) celebrate all things Scottish.

    V8 & Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet - February

    A weekend for petrolheads with the V8 show always held the day before the Battle of the Streets. The vehicles parade along the main street of Paeroa at 11 am & are then displayed at the Racecourse. There is food, music, stalls & activities
